What Other Plans Are There?

It’s official: FuboTV is retiring the Starter bundle for new subscribers, while current subscribers will still be able to keep their subscriptions. Thankfully, FuboTV still offers great plans you can choose from.

What’s Happening With FuboTV’s Starter Bundle?

FuboTV has decided to stop offering the Starter bundle to new subscribers. The move comes as the company has been improving its plans, offering more cloud DVR storage space and more simultaneous streams.

FuboTV claims that over time it has noticed that customers maximize DVR use, which means that the 250 hours of Cloud DVR space offered by the former Starter plan were no longer up to par with what subscribers needed. Therefore, the new plans give more value to consumers.

Why Is the Starter Plan Going Away?

The Starter plan had been around for many years, offering access to 118 channels, three simultaneous streams, and 250 hours of cloud DVR storage for $64.99/month.

The company claims that it has always been FuboTV’s mission to offer a leading package of premium sports, news, entertainment, and innovative product features while also providing value and keeping costs low for consumers.

Among the significant upgrades FuboTV made to its platform, the perks are most notable. The Pro plan features the same channel setup as the former Starter bundle but costs $69.99/month. However, you can stream on up to 10 devices simultaneously instead of three screens.

Also, instead of being able to record up to 250 hours of content, now you can record up to 1,000 hours. Therefore, with a better plan available for just $5 more, there’s no reason for the company to keep the Starter plan anymore.

What’s Happening to Current FuboTV Starter Subscribers?

While new subscribers will no longer be able to select FuboTV Starter at sign-up, existing subscribers can keep their plan. In fact, if you picked the Starter plan before March 14th, 2022, no changes will occur. Of course, given the major benefits of other plans, some users might be more interested in upgrading.

According to the FuboTV Help Center, those who have a previous subscription to the Starter plan that has expired will be asked to pick a new plan when reactivating their accounts.

On the other hand, those who have paused their Starter plan and want to return can do so. Also, subscribers who have scheduled a cancellation can change their minds if the plan has yet to expire.

With the Starter plan gone, you can pick one of the other plans—Pro, Elite, or Latino. Of course, you can customize these however you see fit, as FuboTV has lots of options you can test for yourself.

In the past few years, the company has been working on trimming down its bundles, settling on just a few that better correspond to what users are actually looking for.

The two English-language bundles now feature a lot of channels, including plenty of sports-related networks, but they also include lots of family-oriented networks to attract more customers. Similarly, the Latino bundle includes all the Spanish-language channels available on the service, from sports to entertainment.

The FuboTV Pro plan costs $69.99/month and it offers 116 channels, up to 10 simultaneous streams, and 1,000 hours of cloud DVR storage space. Likewise, FuboTV Elite costs $79.99/month for 173 channels, 10 simultaneous streams, and 1,000 hours of cloud DVR storage space. For the price increase, you get more than 50 additional channels compared to the Pro tier.

The Latino plan, which is one of the best ways to stream Spanish TV channels, costs $32.99/month for 43 channels, 250 hours of Cloud DVR space, and two simultaneous streams.

FuboTV’s Starter Plan Is No More

FuboTV’s Starter plan is now a thing of the past for new users, although existing subscribers can keep the plan unless they want to upgrade. For $5 more, they’d get a lot more cloud DVR storage space and more simultaneous streams for the whole family. Either way, FuboTV remains one of the best ways to watch your favorite sports, including NBA games, online.
